Stop Sending Gallery Links Like a Receipt

Your handover message is part of the product. A gallery link deserves more warmth than 'Hi, here are your pictures.'

A lot of photographers finish a beautiful edit and then send the gallery like a receipt: "Hi, pictures are ready. Link below." It works, but it leaves emotion on the table.

Use the handover as a final touch

The message does not need to be dramatic. One warm line about the shoot, one clear instruction, and one next step is enough.

A simple template

"Hi Amina, your wedding photos are ready. I loved how much joy came through in this set. Open the link below to view everything, tap the heart on your favourites, and download whenever you are ready."

Say what they should do first

If the client should review, say review. If they should favourite, say favourite. If they should download, say download. People like clear doors.

End cleanly

Close with confidence: "Enjoy them." "I hope these bring the day back." "Let me know when your favourites are ready." Small, human, done.
